Group urges Delta APC to overhaul state exco

ASABA—A LEADER of Delta APC Democratic Forum, Mr Fred Nwajei, has called on the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to overhaul the Delta State executive of the party as a panacea to resolving the seeming crisis rocking the party in the state.

Nwaojei, a chieftain of APC in Aniocha North, in a statement, said: “We are very concerned about the twists and turns in the affairs of our political party, the APC in Delta State. It is sad to note that the party is more interested in going to the press to wash its dirty linens in public, than doing what it is supposed to do.

“We recall that at the inception of the party in Delta State, there was a gang-up against the former ACN state chairman, Chief Adolo Okotie-Eboh, which was the strongest party in the legacy parties that formed the APC. The APC did not think of building a united and strong political party, but spent all its time then, sowing seeds of disharmony.

“It is interesting to know that all those who took sides against Okotie-Eboh then, are now daggers-dawn against each other on the pages of newspapers.”
