THE zonal vice chairman of APC (Delta North), Chief Chukwujindu Nduku, yesterday, urged the Federal High Court, Asaba, to bar Mr. George Sunday Okafor from parading himself as the zonal vice chairman (Delta North) of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Nduku who made the appeal in Suit no. FHC/ASB/CS/15/2015 is also claiming N5milion as general damages in compensation for usurpation of his office by the said Mr. Okafor.
The zonal vice chairman is seeking an order of the court to remove Okafor as the zonal vice chairman (Delta North) on the premise that he was never elected into the position.
He supported his argument with evidence suggesting that at the time the congress of the APC took place, precisely on April 26 2014, Mr. Okafor was a card carrying member of the PDP and also had a subsisting suit at the same court seeking to be returned as the chairman of the PDP in Aniocha South after their last local government Congress.
