ASABA—THE Accord Party in Delta State has warned that it would pull out of the understanding it has with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state if the PDP does not desist from denying the alliance between them.

Chairman of Accord Party in the state, Mr David Ashikodi, while reacting to recent media reports credited to his PDP counterpart, Chief Edwin Uzor, said: “The PDP Chairman’s utterance smacked of arrogance. It is politically immature on his part to deny the alliance on the ground that politics is a game of inclusion and not exclusion.”

Ashikodi in a statement, said that Accord Party would not hesitate to pull out of the alliance and open its doors of negotiation with other political parties for the governorship election “if the PDP persists in its present campaign.

“I am surprised that the PDP chairman could make such a statement. I want to warn that the PDP should not act arrogantly because politics is about inclusion and not exclusion. Instead of wooing other parties, the PDP is denying the working alliance.”
