BENIN—EDO State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has expressed shock over the sack of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mr. Samuel Uhunmwangho, following the mix-up in the approval for the use of Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium by the wives of President Goodluck Jonathan and Major Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), this weekend.

Dame Patience Jonathan and Aisha Buhari were due to address their party faithful this weekend, but the Edo State Government had shifted the visit of Mrs. Buhari to another date to enable the president’s wife use the stadium for her rally tomorrow.

The PDP in a statement in Benin, yesterday, by its state Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih, said: “We call on Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole and the All Progressives Congress, APC, to stop playing politics with bitterness and hatred.”
