AHEAD of the March 28 National Assembly elections, the Igbo Political Forum, Abuja and political stakeholders of Igbo extraction in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, have denied Abuja based newspaper publications which claimed that Barr. Maxwell Opera, the APGA candidate for the AMAC/Bwari federal constituency election has been purportedly endorsed by Eze Ndigbo, (FCT), Eze Ibe Nwosu.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of IPF, Chief Martins Nzeribe, the group noted that at no time did the royal father, Eze Ibe Nwosu, his cabinet members or any Igbo group endorse the APGA candidate Barr. Maxwell Opara as reported in the media.
Nzeribe said, IPF FCT viewed the publication as a serious embarrassment to the Igbo community and urged the general public to disregard it as they have not taken any position on a consensus candidate.
He further advised politicians to desist from resorting to lies and blackmails just to score cheap political points.
