BENIN—THE Enogie (Duke) of Obazuwa and younger brother to the Benin monarch, Prince Edun Akenzua, has warned the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that their ‘death wish’ campaigns against the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, may be their albatross in the forthcoming general elections, if they don’t stop.

He argued that the amount of money expended by the PDP “in running documentaries that tend of destroy the person of Gen. Buhari would have been enough to build a refinery for Nigerians.”

According to him, “The level of campaigns in this election has been that of calumny against Buhari by the PDP and that is not what Nigerians want. I am ashamed by the standard of campaign they are putting up against Buhari. Gen Eisenhower became President of America, he was a military man. They are just talking as if when Buhari was Head of State, he was the sole dictator.

“Even other heads of state were not sole dictators, they were still going to the Supreme Military Council to discuss issues. And by the time Buhari was there, some of the people talking now were saying he was only a figure head, that it was Tunde Idiagbon who was making the decisions.”
