Mr. Ben Onyechere, former special adviser to Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State has declared that the state is a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stronghold.

According to him, the altercation orchestrated by ‘desperate political green horns’ in Abia whose mission is to buy the governorship position is an effort to expand their business coasts with the conviction that politics is also a business venture, otherwise they will not wake up in the twilight of electioneering campaign to armtwist the governor, who is a well grounded grassroots politician in the state through several empowerment programmes.

He said: “It is important to notify them that politics in not the same as oil or banking businesses, its about the management of people of diverse contraption and eguitable distribution of welfarist programmes in addition to prudent to prudent management of available resources.

“It is only a naive incumbent who will not have a hand on the process of choosing his successor and as such the political gladiators should understand that they must undergo the baptism of fire as in every other aspect of life,in other words they must learn the ropes in politics because it not a days journey.”
