By Emeka Mamah

KADUNA — The Army and the police have been put on red alert in Kaduna, Kano, Bauchi and other states surrounding Plateau State to avoid a spillover of the Nasarawa-Gwom Jos crisis which has led to death of several people and the destruction of property worth billions of naira.

The Plateau State Government imposed a 24-hour curfew in Jos following renewed crisis which first started on Sunday.

Sources said the Federal Government ordered the Army and Police to be at alert so that undesirable elements do not take advantage of the situation.
