Independent National Electoral Commission Chairman, Prof Atahiru Jega Saturday night postponed the general elections to March 28.

At a briefing in Abuja after series of meetings with stakeholders, the INEC chairman said the Presidential election and National Assembly election will hold on March 28 while the Governorship election will hold on April 11.

Prof Jega told newsmen that the security agencies had in written advisories said they cannot provide statutory security during the February elections because of the commencement of anti- insurgency operations in the north east part of the country  on February 14.
