Asejere is an online SME Resource portal and mobile application designed to help Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) connect with each other and with resources that will help their businesses grow.

It equally seeks to be a platform where MSMEs can meet potential investors and get access to funding opportunities for the upward advancement of their businesses.

According to the Founders, Asejere Portal is founded “to economically empower micro, small and medium scale enterprises by providing requisite resources that will help them grow their businesses leveraging on innovative web and mobile applications; even as they seek to build “the largest online Micro Small and Medium Scale Enterprise hub in Africa where micro and small businesses connect with each other and with fund custodians that will help them grow their businesses”.

The Business Portal which is founded by a team of three Business Development Experts, Abiodun Dominic Odunuga, Olatunji Ajani and Paul Ajayi who are also members of the Economic Empowerment Team of Carrington Youth Fellowship, an initiative of the Public Affairs Section of the United States Consulate General was launched in Lagos over the weekend.

The event attracted prominent Business and Development experts including Johnson Abbaly, CEO Achievers Consortium, Jide George, International Human Resources Practitioner, Wole Odetayo, Operations Manager, iDea Hub, who discussed on the theme “The Role of Small and Medium Enterprises in Nation Building”.

Asejere, a Yoruba word which means “profitable venture” also has a mobile App in Blackberry and Android which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. The Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative, CYFI, is a dynamic youth-based initiative launched in 2011 by the U.S. Consulate General, Lagos. CYFI brings together Nigerian youth of exceptional vision, skills and experience to design and implement projects that have a positive impact on Nigerian society. Former Ambassador to Nigeria, Walter Carrington, was a champion of civil liberties, democracy and closer ties between the U.S. and Nigeria.
