Former governor of Kwara state, Senator Bukola Saraki and a former commissioner for Tourism & Inter-Governmental Relations in Lagos state, Tokunbo Afikuyomi have alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan who is the presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party, PDP, has ordered the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki to use the security agencies to postphone the election in the country.
Saraki, who is a chieftain of the opposition party, All Progressives Congress (APC), took to his twitter page, @bukolasaraki, to announce the plot by the president, “NSA seeking to postpone election shows clearly, security report has gotten to Aso Rock that GEJ can’t win. We must ALL reject postponement”.
Afikuyomi (@ToksAfikuyomi), another chieftain of APC added, “Less 130 days to handover, outgoing president GEJ directs NSA, security agencies to ensure the Postponement of Feb Elections.@DeleMomodu”.
The preidential election is billed for 14th February, 2015 with Gen. Muhammedu Buhari as the major challenger of president Goodluck Jonathan.
