Buhari

All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, APCPCO, has said its candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd)will lift the veil of secrecy and shadiness that has characterised the transactions of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, if elected.
APCPCO’s Directorate of Media and Publicity made this known in a statement in Abuja yesterday, saying it was apparent that the reason why the country’s economy came under serious shock any time there was instability in the global oil market was because of corruption, lack of transparency and honesty in the way the NNPC was run.
The statement signed by the organisation’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, assured that an APC-led government would promote credible book-keeping in the day-to-day workings of the corporation.
“To create a level playing field for all operators and investors in the oil and gas industry, there is an urgent need to have a clear and transparent regulatory and fiscal framework for the upstream, midstream and downstream activities,” it said.
