Akpabio presents Agbaje, Udom to Akwa Ibom community in Lagos

LAGOS—GOVERNOR Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, yesterday, presented the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Udom Emmanuel to Akwa-Ibom residents in Lagos State.

He also appealed to indigenes of the state to also ensure victory for the President Goodluck Jonathan in the February 14 presidential election.

Speaking at an event held at the National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos, Akpabio described Udom as a thoroughbred politician who will continue with his giant strides in Akwa Ibom State.

According to him; “I am presenting to you a true son of the soil, Udom Emmanuel. Many politicians in Akwa Ibom have shown capability, but he is the one God has chosen. I urge you all to give him your maximum support and encourage your people at home to vote for him.”

While presenting the PDP candidate for Lagos State, Jimi Agbaje, Akpabio said he is confident that Agbaje will emerge the next governor of the state because he is a grassroots politician who enjoys the support of all.

Agbaje in his address, said if elected, his administration will not discriminate against but give non- indigenes in the state equal opportunity to excel.
