Uyo—THE governorship candidate of Accord Party, AP, in Akwa Ibom State, Bishop Samuel Akpan, has said that the party will select his running mate from Abak Division of Ikot Ekpene senatorial district of the state.

Akpan, who disclosed this to newsmen in his campaign office at Ewet Housing, Uyo , yesterday, explained that he will allow the party structure and leaders from the area to select whosoever they found fit for the position themselves.

He said: “As the substantive governorship candidate of Accord Party for the 2015 election, I want to run an all inclusive government where all the segments of the state will be brought in to participate in my leadership. I have to justify my new role as a highly detribalized person.

“I am an Ibibio man by origin and my deputy will come from Annang, the second largest ethnic nationality in Akwa Ibom but from Abak division.”
