Yenagoa—Angry reactions, yesterday, trailed the poor rating of Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State on the conduct of the state and National Assemblies primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bayelsa West senatorial district of the state.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr.Daniel Markson-Iworiso, the former state Chairman of the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties, CNPP, Mr Sunday Frank-Oputu and the Ofoni Democratic Youth Forum, ODYF, through its Spokesman, Mr. Francis Adjerebe, said that the rating of the governor done by Prince Lucky Youbougha, an aide to former Governor Timipre Sylva was deceitful, criminal and did not represent the opinion of the people of the state.
While the state governor’s CPS denied the claim that the aide to Timipre Sylva was ever appointed by Governor Dickson as a Special Adviser, ODYF said that the rating by Youbougha did not represent the true outcome of the primaries in Bayelsa West senatorial district of the state.
ODYF, in a statement by Adjerebe, said that the PDP primaries conducted in Bayelsa West senatorial district, which produced Evang Foster Ogola as the senatorial candidate of the party, was the true reflection of the votes of the delegates from the district.
“Yuobougha is not a competent person to speak and rate the governor on the outcome of the party primaries. Youbougha, whose membership of the PDP is under probation as a decampee from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“The so called primaries conducted by Senator Lokpobiri had no party election panel member nor state or local government party representatives in attendance. The so called primaries were conducted in the minds of narrow minded people like Yuobougha.”
