Former Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State and the state Coordinator of Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria, TAN, Werinipre Seibarugu, has commended the leadership of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on the emergence of President Goodluck Jonathan as the first incumbent to have been returned unopposed as presidential candidate of the party.
According to him, the decision of the various organs of PDP, including the National Working Committee, NWC; the Board of Trustees, BOT; the National Executive Committee, NEC and the PDP Governors Forum, to adopt President Jonathan as consensus candidate was commendable and historic.
Seibarugu, in a statement in Yenagoa by the state Director of Media and Publicity, Chief Nathan Egba, said that the sustained sensitization and mobilization of over 17 million signatures by the national leadership of TAN across the six geo-political zones was commendable and historic.
