Nigeria’s leading financial institution, FirstBank Limited has expressed its commitment to the sponsorship of one of the nation’s most prestigious tennis championship, the Dala Hard Court Tennis Championships.

The 2015 edition of the championship which begins December 5, 2015 at the Kano Club Muritala Mohammed Way, Kano ends on Sunday December 13, 2015. Dala Hard Court is a major tourney that brings together professional tennis players from all nooks and crannies of Nigeria who converges at the ancient city of Kano to demonstrate their mastery of the game.

This year’s edition is the 28th edition and the 15th year FirstBank has supported the Championship.

The championship is after the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) national tournament and the Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Championship. Champions from these tourneys also look forward to playing at Dala Tennis tournament.

A top official of FirstBank revealed that support for Dala Tournament is also another way of supporting young and budding talents in Nigeria as the game is majorly played by youths whilst developing business relationship with Kano Club, hosts of the tournament.

FirstBank said its gains include brand visibility as over 1,000 people attend the championship and its television audience runs into with visibility to millions through notable television stations and cable networks.
