Police uncover bomb in Kano food market

KANO – Barely 24 hours after Kano Textile market was bombed by two female suicide bombers , the police in Kano have uncovered and detonated a high calibre Improvised Explosive Device at Dawnau, a popular food market in the ancient town.

Eyewitness told Vanguard that the bomb was concealed in a sack that was hidden at the busy market. 

The Kano police commissioner, Adelenre Shinaba confirmed the incident,  adding that “we have successfully detonated the bomb and I can assure you that we have restored normalcy to the market.”
