DPR warms against adulteration of petroleum products

PORT HARCOURT— Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR, has warned against adulteration of petroleum products.

Zonal Operations Controller, DPR, Port Harcourt, Mrs. Sibeudu Onyebuchi, who handed down the warning, yesterday, at the annual meeting of DPR/Depot owners/ Petroleum Products Marketers in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, warned that adulterated product would be quarantined while the retail outlet involved would be sealed for six months.

Sibeudu also cautioned against product diversion, noting that filling stations involved in such illicit act would be sanctioned for four months.

Speaking on products over pricing at depots and retail outlets, she said that her body would not hesitate to sanction anyone caught.

“Closure of depot for three months and retail outlet for one month will be meted out against offenders,” she said.
