ENUGU—Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Enugu State Police Command, have arrested some armed robbery suspects that have been reportedly terrorizing residents of Abakpa-Nike and its environs.

The suspects, who gave their names as Chibueze, Kalu, Nwadike, Onyekachi and Chigozie, were nabbed by the operatives at their hideout at 2nd Bus Stop, Abakpa, in Enugu East Local Government Area of the state.

According to Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, the suspects were arrested during a “raid in the early hours of December 1, following information received about their nefarious activities.

“The suspects, believed also to be members of Viking Confraternity operating in Abakpa and its environs, were also fingered in the alleged murder of one Nonso Odenigbo, alias Oyina.

“They are now helping the operatives in their investigations.”
