Ugono union advocates community, govt cooperation

UGHELLI — THE newly elected President-General of Ugono Development Union, Ugono-Orogun, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, Mr. Ovie Onokpoma, has charged community leaders across the country to work in harmony with government to accelerate development in their communities.
Onokpoma, who gave the charge while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after his election as the President-General of Ugono community, said communities could only developed in an atmosphere of harmonious relationship with government at all levels.

Those elected alongside Onokpoma were Okei Wilfred, Vice-President General; Comrade Freeborn Ochuko, Secretary-General; Magbamijolor Augustine, P.R.O; Olerhime Monday, Treasurer; Oghenegueke Morinson; Welfare, Oghene-kevwe Moses and Youth Leader, Oforishe Innocent.

Assistant Secretary, Ejuvwekpokpo Oghenekevwe, Organizing Secretary and Ataku Lucky, Publicity Secretary.
Thanking the people for giving them the opportunity to serve, Onokpoma promised that they would not betray the confidence reposed in them by the community.

He said the new executive members of the group would strive to attract development to the area, adding that they would work in harmony with government at all levels to attract the desired development to the community.
