Westminster College, Lagos, was recently visited by Dr. Andrew Carruthers to strengthen the relationship between the college and the University of Bradford.

While receiving Carruthers, a representative of the Engineering faculty of University of Bradford, Chief Barovbe, Managing Director of Westminster College, Lagos noted that “Westminster College Lagos has been in partnership with many UK universities for courses in engineering, law, accounting and business administration while the medical students go on to universities in Hungary after the completion of the foundation year in Westminster College Lagos.”

He called on the University of Bradford to set up a one year foundation program in engineering with the college. The University of Bradford has produced many eminent Nigerians, personalities like Prof. Maurice Iwu, former Chairman of INEC, Prof. Okpako of University of Ibadan, and the late Prof. Festus Iyayi of the University of Benin”.

“I am very aware of the high standard of the Engineering faculty of the University of Bradford, hence I really want the university to set up our one year foundation program in Engineering so students who have completed the program in Nigeria can proceed to Bradford to do three years for the B.sc. Engineering or four years for M.sc Engineering” He disclosed.
