OWERRI—The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, says it has commenced the construction of a multi-million naira complex at Okwe, Onuimo Local Government Area of Imo State.

MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, who disclosed this to newsmen in Owerri, also revealed that the complex would house a hospital, a rehabilitation centre and a multipurpose hall.

“We are building a hospital, a 5,000-seater Ojukwu Multi Purpose Hall and a Rehabilitation Centre at Okwe, Onuimo council. Work has already commenced at the site”, Uwazuruike said.

He denied a recent publication, which accused MASSOB of carrying out criminal activities in Onuimo council, adding that the group has not changed its peaceful approach to achieving its Biafran dream.

“If we want to change our style and go violent, we will tell the world. We are very resolute on our non-violent stance. We are equally resolute on the actualization of the state of Biafra”, Chief Uwazuruike said.
