*Ogun Pilgrims at Mount Jabalithaor one of the holy sites in Makkah
Chairman of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Board, Dr. Isiaq Yusuf has described this year’s hajj exercise as one of the best and well organized despite minor challenges experienced.
Yusuf stated this while welcoming the last batch of the pilgrims back home last Friday.
The pilgrims, led by the Executive Secretary of the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare board, Alhaji Sefiu Rasheed, landed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos, via Med-view airline Aircraft at 8.30pm last Friday, signifying the final airlifting of all 1,212 pilgrims back to the country.
Yusuf stated that a final comprehensive report will be submitted to the State Governor soon.
Earlier, Alhaji Rasheed thanked the state Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun for the support and encouragement towards the successful completion of the 2014 exercise, noting that lessons learnt would be improved upon towards next year’s preparations.
