AS 2015 election draws closer, a gubernatorial aspirant from Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Ime Ekanem, has joined the race to Government House, Uyo, on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Ekanem, recently at the PDP National Headquarters, bought the Expression of Interest and Nomination form to kick-start his campaign.

Speaking on his decision, Ekanem said he wanted to add value to human capacity development in the state, which was paramount to sustain the infrastructure development by Governor Akpabio-led administration.

Ekanem said: “I am contesting because I feel I can do a lot to change the lives of Akwa Ibom people. I have done quite a bit in the state, but through this opportunity I can do more to transform the lives of our people. I want to empower unemployed youths, I will do this through the private sector.”
