UMUAHIA—THE IMMEDAIATE past Minister of Labour and Productivity, Chief Emeka Wogu, has formally joined the race for governorship election in Abia State on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Wogu, who stormed the party’s secretariat with tens of vehicles branded in his campaign posters and colours, also commissioned his campaign office strategically located opposite the party office.

The former minister’s arrival to the party office was like a carnival as he rode in an open SUV accompanied by dance groups and supporters from the 17 Local Government Areas.

Declaring his ambition before the party leadership, Wogu said he had returned home to render service to the people of Abia State after diligently serving the nation in the capacity of a Minister.

Wogu said he had a blueprint to move Abia forward as he knew the state very well and recounted his previous service to the state.
