Delta assures on school’s infrastructure devt

Delta State Government has promised to sustain the drive in the provision of infrastructures in public schools in the state.

Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Mr. Peter Onwusanya, gave the assurance when he presented exercise books to more than 3,000 SSS3 students preparing to write the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations,SSCE, next year.

Onwusanya, who was represented by his Special Adviser, Ogbueshi Joseph Ikediashi and the Political Adviser, Mr. Eloka Nwanze, explained that in the past few years, the state government had invested heavily in the education sector to justify its policy of human capital development.

He said schools in Oshimili South constituency would continue to receive his attention because of his interest in empowering adults, youths and children in the area.

Onwusanya, while responding to request by some principals, also promised that the state government would soon embark on building and renovation of more schools in the area.

The Speaker commended the governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, over his support to the education sector, especially schools in Oshimili South Constituency.
