Former NFA board  member and one-time chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan,  Elder Bode Oyewole has urged Nigerians to be  positive in their utterances as the Super Eagles begin their 2010 African Nations Cup campaign in Angola on Tuesday.

Elder Oyewole told Saturday Vanguard Sports that he believes with positive comments and prayers, the Eagles will succeed  in the Nations Cup.

According to him, the days for negative utterance concerning the team’s performance should be put behind as he urged every Nigerian to support and speak well of the team.

“As a Nigerian, I want the team to lift the trophy. I see us lifting it, I believe if the team are able to adhere to instructions from their coach they will surmount all obstacles and bring the cup back home. We should continue to support and speak positively about the team,” he said as he wished the team the best.
