ASABA—A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant in Delta State, Mr Peter Okocha, has said that he was contesting to render qualitative service and uplift the quality of life for the people of the state.

He added that his entire life has always been devoted to enhancing the welfare of those found at the cross-roads.

Okocha in a chat with Vanguard, said if elected, that his priorities will be employment generation, education, infrastructure, security, good governance, strategic partnership with private sector and review of all existing state and local government laws.

According to him, education will receive a boost as his administration will invest in massive school infrastructure in the state.
“If elected, education will be revamped under my administration because we shall invest heavily in teaching aids, teacher training while education at primary and secondary levels shall be compulsory, qualitative and free.

“We shall re-invigorate scholarships and bursary schemes to deserving students and guarantee the functionality of vocational trade centres as part of our total education and youth empowerment programme,” he added.
