KANO – Vice president,  Namadi Sambo  Tuesday, paid homage to the new emir of Kano,  Alhaji Muhammad Sanusi II in his palace.

The delayed public recognition by the number two citizen barely 4 months after the installation of former CBN Governor as the emir of Kano was however made possible by the death of an influential Kano prince and Galadiman Kano,  Alhaji Tijjani Hashim.

Sambo  led the federal government delegation to the funeral prayers of Alhaji Tijjani Hashim and shortly after paid a condolence visit to the new emir in accordance with tradition.

The public recognition of Sanusi II by President Jonathan’s vice  may have put to rest month of hostilities between the administration and the former CBN Governor.
