LOKOJA—The People Democratic Party, PDP, in Kogi State has said that it was not worried by the exit of its supporters to the opposition  All Progressive Congress, APC, in the state.

The state chairman of the party, Mr Hassan Salau made this known  while reacting to some issues raised by about 5,000 of the party’s members who left the party.
According to him, “The decampees have no electoral value when it come to election. PDP will continue to dominate the politics of the state as it has the majority.

“The people who decamped did so for their personal ambitions. Clarence Olafemi was a former acting governor and Speaker while Abdullahi Bello, was a former speaker. The PDP has given them everything and for them to decamp now, smacks of greed. It is about their individual ambitions. I leave them to God and their troubled mind.”

Salau also denounced the insinuation by the opposition that the PDP- led government was not performing, saying they were wrong to have said so, as according to him, ‘’the government has given the state a facelift.
