ABUJA—The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Alhassan Bako Zaku has tasked the authorities of National Biotechnology Development Agency, NABDA, to ensure that Nigeria becomes self reliant in the development and application of biotechnology-based products in the country

The Minister gave this charge while on an unscheduled inspection of NABDA facilities at its proposed headquarters site in Abuja on Tuesday.

He urged the agency to develop suitable mechanisms and activities to support the emergence of biotechnology enterprise for the commercialization of biotechnology products and services.
