Jalingo—The senator representing Taraba South at the National Assembly, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has described the directives by the State Executive Council, SEC,  to the House of Assembly to raise a medical panel to ascertain the health status of Governor Dababa Suntai, as illegal.

Bwacha  told Vanguard that the acting Governor, was only displaying his desperate moves to unseat  Governor Suntai and enthrone himself as the substantive governor of Taraba state.

He noted that the SEC appointed by Garba Umar lacked powers to direct the Assembly to raise the panel since the constitution of the SEC had been challenged in a court of law and the matter was still pending.

He argued that the actions of the acting governor towards governor Suntai showed clearly that the royalty he had been preaching was mere lib services.
According to him, “The acting governor is only playing his last card by exhibiting his desperate moves to the public, if not, what is the essence of that directives to the House of Assembly at this time? He wants to succeed the person that brought him on board through illegal means, but it is so unfortunate. Should the Assembly decide to comply with directive, the court of law would be involved and only the court can decide on the matter.”
