2015: Gov Orji re-jigs media team

By Anayo Okoli

UMUAHIA — ABIA State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji has re-jigged his media team ahead of 2015 to fight the barrage of media attacks on his administration by the opposition.

In the new appointments, the former Chief Press Secretary, Ugochukwu Emezue was re-appointed Special Adviser, Electronic Media; while former NUJ President, Bonnie Iwuoha and Uche Nwosu were also re-appointed into the media team.

They were part of the government until October last year when the governor sacked all his advisers with the exception of a few.
When contacted, Emezue confirmed the appointment which was not announced on the state radio as was the case in the past, and commended the governor for bringing them back to join in his “good work in the state.”

Emezue assured the governor that the people he reappointed would not let him down but would do their best to project the state in good light.
He called on critics to be objective and avoid unwarranted attacks on the government.
