Fresh crisis is brewing in Ikere Ekiti after the passing on of the monarch of the town ,Oba   Adegoke Adegboye, as two of her daughters are laying claims as the next regent of the town.

The contenders for the regency are Mrs Adebisi Bello, the eldest daughter, and Miss Ayooye Adegboye.
The two princesses are the biological daughters of the late Ogoga. The issue has polarized the late monarch’s children and the palace including the chiefs, as some of the princes and the chiefs are rooting for their preferred candidates for the regency and that is creating tension in the town
