A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and one-time Coordinator of the Party in Anambra State during the Bamanga Tukur era, Chief Sunday Odumegwu has said that PDP would not give waiver to the former Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State and Iyom Uche Ekwunife to contest any elective positions under the party, as new entrants, for now.

He said that Ekwunife’s case was even better than that of Obi because Ekwunife has come out boldly and declared for PDP, while Obi was just eying the party but yet to declare officially since he resigned his chairmanship of the  Board of Trustees, BoT of the All Progesssives Grand Alliance, APGA..

Odumegwu who spoke to newsmen during the installation of Sebastine Anaekwe as the 31st President of Rotary International in Awka, weekend, pointed out that Ekwunife would have to queue behind others in PDP before she can get her turn in any appointive or elective position, while Obi who is yet to declare for PDP should not dream of becoming President Goodluck Jonathan’s Presidential Campaign Coordinator for South East, as was being speculated in some quarters.
