The Concerned People Democratic Party Leaders of Egbema Kingdom, Warri North  Local Government Area of Delta State, has expressed concerned over the allegations what there were influenced to impose candidates in the just concluded primaries in Warri North  council.

Leader of the group, Chief Macaulay Ayiwei in a statement, said the allegation was baseless and fallacious as there was no iota of truth in same.
Ayiwei noted that some self-acclaimed leaders of Ogbinbiri wards were trying to deceive Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of the state, so that their preferred candidates could sail through after they had collected huge amount of money from them.

He said that the candidates, who were said to be imposed on the Ijaws by Itsekiri were actually candidates that were unanimously chosen after wide and due consultation with the leadership of the party at the council level.
