….Ekwueme, Nnamani, others to attend South East rally

ABUJA — AHEAD the formal declaration of President Goodluck Jonathan for his re-election bid for 2015 presidential election, Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria, TAN, is commencing zonal rallies.
Addressing journalists in Abuja yesterday, TAN’s Director of Communications and Strategy, Dr. Udenta O. Udenta, said the planned rallies would kick-start this weekend with South East geo-political zone of the country.
Former Vice President, Alex Ekwueme; ex-Senate President, Ken Nnamani, among others, would attend the South East rally slated for tomorrow in Akwa, Anambra State.
According to him, the people of the South-East zone are already overwhelmed by the achievements of President Jonathan in varied spheres of human endeavours, including massive social and physical infrastructures, human capital development, employment generation and appointments.
Udenta explained that TAN formed a major advocacy group consistently propagating and showcasing the massive developments of the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
He said: “TAN’s national rallies scheduled to take place in the six geo-political zones of the country, will make its debut in the South-East show at the popular Ekwueme Square, Akwa, Anambra State, in a blaze of fun-fare.
“Important dignitaries expected at the Akwa rally include former Vice President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, former Senate Presidents Chief Adolphus Wabara and Senator Ken Nnamani; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Ayim; distinguished senators and honourable members of the House of Representatives; top politicians and political appointees from the zone.
“The train would now move with pomp to Ibadan for the South-West zonal rally on Saturday, August 23, while it would swing to Port Harcourt for the South-South show on September 30, 2014, and thereafter take a two-week recess before proceeding northwards.
“With a strength of over three million registered members and 250,000 on-line followers and fans, this phase of transforming into a mass movement would be most interesting in TAN’s drive towards ensuring citizens’ participation in politics.”
