BENIN— THE Edo State chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benin, said that the party will provide a level playing ground for all those aspiring for political offices on its platform during its primaries.

Orbih’s comment is coming on the heels of the pledge by the member representing Etsako constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Abubakar Momoh, to work for the success of the party in Edo North senatorial zone, if nominated as the party’s senatorial candidate.

The Edo PDP Chairman, who gave the assurance while receiving Momoh, who formally informed the party leadership at its state secretariat on Sapele Road of his desire to contest for Edo North senatorial seat, urged all aspirants to display maturity and decorum during their campaigns.

Insisting that the party will field the best candidates in the forth-coming general elections, he commended Momoh for the level of maturity he has displayed so far in his campaigns.
The aspirant assured the PDP leadership of winning the senatorial seat if nominated, adding that he will ensure that those still left in All Progressives Congress come back to PDP, where they truly belong.
