(AFP) – A South African prosecutor insisted Thursday that star Paralympian Oscar Pistorius cannot avoid a conviction for murdering his glamorous model girlfriend, as the state wrapped up its case against him.

“Pitbull” prosecutor Gerrie Nel said that even if Pistorius’s account of events were true, “he cannot escape” a conviction for murdering with intent.
