ABA—A group, Umuhu Ezechi Youths Vanguard, UEYV, has chided a former commissioner in the state, Paul Mba, for attempting to foist his brother as a councillor to represent Umuhu Ezechi Ward in the soon to be reconstituted legislative arm of Bende Local Government of Abia State.
Leader of the group, Chief Ndukwe Kalu while addressing journalists in Aba, said they were opposed to Mba imposing someone from Umuokwe village to be councillor, since it was the same village that produced the immediate past councillor in the person of Igwe Okereke, also his blood relation.
He said since Umuhu Ezechi was made up of six villages, the councillorship positions should rotate among the villages in accordance with the sharing formula of the people.
