APC plans to disrupt Osun poll – PDP

APC plans to disrupt Osun poll – PDP

Aregbesola and Omisore

The PDP candidate, Senator Omisore yesterday accused the APC of planning to rig the election.

Speaking through his director of Media and Strategy, Prince Diran Odeyemi, Omisore said:  “our attention has been drawn to a directive by the APC that all its members from all the states under the party’s control should converge on Osogbo as from tomorrow (today) for Saturday’s election. This is the latest in series of the attempt by the APC to cause mayhem and disrupt the August 9 election.”

It flayed the directive as “reprehensible for a party that claims his candidate has done so well and will win Saturday’s election convincingly to now turn itself to an army of occupation.”

It further alleged that “this has further lent credence to the fact that Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has perfected plans to use his standing army codenamed ‘state boys’ and other unscrupulous elements to rig the election.”

Besides, it stated that “It is an open secret that some of these states have more than a thousand political appointees.”

“We are not surprised by the antics of the APC because just last week, the party was calling for postponement and this is a clear indication of their level of unpreparedness.”

“We want to urge all the security apparatus to be vigilant and should not allow any desperate politician to turn Osun to war zone in the guise of winning by hook or crook”, it alleged.
