A GROUP, Burutu Integrity Development Initiative, has appealed to President Goodluck Jonathan to settle all rifts capable of igniting another round of crises in the Niger Delta, “especially the issue of the Export Processing Zone, EPZ, gas project.”
The group, in a statement by its President, Shedrack Agediga and Lucky Ezebri, said: “Mr. President should call on all concerned in the EPZ gas project to carry the affected communities along through acquisition of land, contracts, develop-mental projects, employ-ment among others.”
It also condemned the killing of innocent Nigerians by the Boko Haram terrorist group, pleading with them to release the abducted Chibok schoolgirls unconditionally.
The group said despite the security challenges, President Jonathan, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, Chief Government Ekpemu-polo, alias Tompolo, Senator Idris Umar, Minister of Transport and the Director General of NIMASA made sure that the dream of creating a Nigeria Maritime University at Okerenkoko came to reality.
