President-General, Nigerian Football Supporters’ Club, Rauf Ladipo has said that the United Nations Agency for the prevention of the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (UNAIDS) would be paying lip service to the fight against the scourge if attempts are not made to provide at least 65 million units of condoms to football supporters from around the globe that would converge in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup.

According to him, “we have just expressed our commitment to Protect the Goal that is threatening humanity by the HIV/AIDS scourge and if we really want to prevent the spread of the virus in Brazil, we have to go all out to do what is required.
“The World Cup is a gathering of a high percentage of sexually active adults and there is nothing that would be as good as a total prevention of the transmission of the disease from those living positively to those who are not yet carrying the virus.”
