3 MASSOB members also docked

ENUGU — FIVE  members of the pro-Biafra group, Biafra Zionist Federation, BZF, which invaded Enugu Government House on March 8, were yesterday remanded in prison custody.

Also, three others who identified themselves as members of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, were arraigned and remanded on the orders of Enugu Magistrate Court.

The BZM members, identified as Ifeanyi Chukwuma, Emmanuel Uche, Sunday Okafor, Shedrack Onwukobi and Francis Nwakacha, were arraigned before an Enugu North Magistrate court on two-count charge over their invasion of the Government House for which they were arrested.

Enugu State police spokesman, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who disclosed their arraignment in a statement yesterday, said “the Enugu State police command, through its operatives of the state criminal and investigations Department, SCID, on Monday 31/3/14 arraigned five members of the Biafran Zionist Movement in connection with the incident of 8/3/14 before Magistrate Court 6 Enugu North while manhunt on others have been intensified.”

He said three members of MASSOB namely Asogwa Donatus, Clement Ogbobe and Asadu Nwagwu Paul were also arraigned.
