Police detectives   from the Osun state Police command are investigating the murder of a 47-year-old man identified as Odeyemi Adeniran by a man simply identified as Dada.

It was gathered that the deceased had a misunderstanding with Dada who had reportedly left the town on the 15th of February 2014, which eventually led to a scuffle in the town.

The suspect, according to sources hit Adeniran with a stool on the head, thus inflicting a deep cut on his head, resulting into serious bleeding.

It was learnt that some people living in the area promptly rushed the deceased to Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa for medical treatment, but he eventually died as a result of the severe injuries he suffered.

Our Corespondent reliably gathered that all the residents of the area left for fear of being arrested when the Police visited the area.

It was also gathered that the corpse of the deceased had been deposited at the mortuary of the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa.

Confirming the alleged killing, the Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) for the state Police Command, Mrs Folasade Odoro said detectives were on the trail of the suspect who fled before the report was made to the Police.

She assured that “we will not leave any stone unturned at ensuring that the suspect is apprehended and made answerable to the crime he has committed”.
