NIGER Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has commended the Government of Delta State for improved peace and security in the state.

Commissioner representing Delta State on the NDDC board, Sir Tom Amioku, gave the commendation in Warri, yesterday, while hosting the Commander of the Nigerian Air force, Warri Base, Commodore Ayodele Dudusola.

Amioku said “Long before Christmas of last year, there has relative peace in Delta. We thank the chief security officer in the state, the governor whose commitment has brought about this peace. It is also a point of fact that the governor is achieving much for peace and security with the cooperation of security agencies in the state and that is why we cherish the visit by the Air Force as an opportunity to further our partnership on security and support our task of developing our area.”

He said the partnership with the Air Force was desirable to strengthen NDDC’s project monitoring, especially in difficult terrains and to assist contractors’ safety to deliver projects on time.
Earlier, Air Commodore Dudusola thanked the commission for the existing partnership with the Army and Navy on NDDC’s operations, hoping that the partnership with the Air Force would further improve the commission’s development task in areas of mutual benefits for parties.
