DUTSE — A  30-year-old retired  police constable,  Ibrahim Safiyanu,  of Gida Dubu in Dutse metropolis, Jigawa State,  has been apprehended by  officials of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Jigawa State command for escaping from a magistrate court custody.
The ex-police man was arrested, weekend, in his hideout.

Disclosing  this to Vanguard, the commandant of NSCDC,  Dr. Muhammad Gidado said the arrest was made based on  the warrant of arrest issued to the NSCDC by the court.

Describing the escape as shameful, he  said  it  was a capital blunder for a custodian of  the  law,  serving  or retired, to undermine and abuse the rules of law that he was paid to protect.
