S-West PDP pledges loyalty to Jonathan, Tukur

President Goodluck Jonathan

The South-West Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has pledged loyalty to President Goodluck Jonathan and its national Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.
The chapter, in a communique at the end of its meeting in Ibadan, Oyo State, said Jonathan and Tukur have been exemplary.

The communique signed by Adebayo Dayo and Ebenezer Alabi for the Committee of Southwest PDP state executives and stakeholders, praised Jonathan for his political appointments to the region.

They said “We appreciate the beginning of good gesture of our amiable president and leader of our great party, Dr Goodluck Jonathan to our geo-political zone in recent past, most especially in terms of political appointments and patronage. This action is gradually assuaging the perceived marginalisation of the South West and we implore him to continue in this direction.

“We salute the courageous manner he has been administering the affairs of this country despite the security challenges orchestrated by mischief makers and enemies of the country and hereby, pass a vote of confidence on him and his administration. We also pledge our absolute support for him and his administration.

“We reiterate our implicit confidence in the National Working Committee, NWC, of our great party as presently constituted under the leadership of Alhaji  Tukur and urge them not to be deterred in their avowed determination to instill discipline and reposition the party for great exploits.”
