Ahead of the 2015 general elections, a Lagos-based non-governmental and non-partisan group, Arise Lagos, AL, has expressed readiness to mobilise over one million youths to actively participate in the polls in the state.
The Convener, Mr. Gbenga Aloto told journalists at a press briefing in Lagos, yesterday, that AL, which will be officially inaugurated on November 4, is geared towards mobilising and sensitising Lagos youths towards participating actively in the polls and avoid being used as thugs to perpetrate violence and electoral malpractices.
“As the 2015 general elections is fast around the corner with lots of political intrigues coming up everyday, we are poised to mobilise youths here in Lagos, who will be sensitised on the need to become politically active.
